South Sudan gained it’s independent from North Sudan on the 9 July 2011, following decades of civil war. The new country is one of the least developed places on earth, despite having huge oil reserves. I shot this news feature with the BBC’s James Copnall. We traveled to the capital, Juba, to find out how much change independence has brought to the lives of its citizens.
