Video: How British Aid is Spent in Dedaab

The British government has given some £110m to deal with the East African drought since the start of July 2011, helping provide aid organisations with vital supplies. But how is the money spent on the ground? I went on assignment for the BBC with correspondent, Mike Wooldrdige, to Dadaab in Kenya to film a story about how British aid is being spent in the world’s largest refugee camp. We followed a consignment of water and sanitation equipment paid for by the British public from start to finish, beginning on the tarmac at Heathrow terminal 5 and ending at Oxfam‘s warehouse in Dadaab.
